Ouzo Castro

OUZO CASTRO originated from the fortified village of Agios Georgios Sikousis on the island of Chios and is produced in traditional copper stills from a 100% distillate of anise, fennel and Chios natural mastic, as well as other aromatic seeds.

The essence of the distillate, which is rich in flavour and aromas, is patiently collected and bottled without adding sugar.

OUZO CASTRO contains natural extracts and essential oils of Chios mastic and anise, which laboratory (in vitro) studies that were undertaken by the Democritus University of Thrace, in cooperation with our distillery, demonstrated antioxidant and anticancer activity, in the research Project entitled “Use of organic active essential oils in the production of alcoholic drinks and confectionery products with potential health benefits”.

You can enjoy it straight or on the rocks.
